Croatia (official name: Republic Croatia ) is a state geographically located in the transition from Central to South Eastern Europe. Croatia is bordered to the north with Slovenia and Hungary, in the east with Serbia, in the south and west with Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. With Italy has a sea border. According to the political organization of Croatia is a parliamentary democracy. Croatia is a member of the United Nations of 22 May 1992. and a candidate for EU accession. Invitation for full membership has received 3rd April 2008., and entry is expected in early 2012. year. From April 2009. Croatia is a full member of NATO.

RELIGION: majority of the population are Catholics, followed by Orthodox and Muslims and members of Protestant churches
FOREIGN LANGUAGES: German, Italian and English are the most foreign languages spoken by tourist operators and local population on the coast.

TIME: Croatia is situated in the zone of GMT +1. Zone changes to GMT +2 from last Saturday in March to Saturday before last Sunday in October.
